The Trump administration has extended the delay for increasing tariffs on China until November 10, 2025. The purpose of the extension is to allow both countries to continue to negotiate a trade deal.
As a result, the reciprocal tariffs on each other’s imports will continue to be 10%. Additionally, the 20% tariff the U.S. is currently assessing on China due to its alleged role in exporting fentanyl to the U.S. will remain. Therefore, the total tariff China is assessing on U.S. goods will still be 10%, while the total tariff the U.S. is assessing on Chinese goods will remain at 30%.
