An U.S. Appeals Court has ruled that the Trump Administration can continue to collect tariffs while the U.S. Government challenges the Court of International Trade’s ruling that the Trump Administration did not have the right to use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977 (IEEPA) to impose worldwide reciprocal tariffs or tariffs on imports from Canada, China, and Mexico, to combat drug trafficking.
Please be aware that these challenges can sometimes take a long time to work through the U.S. legal system. Therefore, until a final decision is reached, please continue to operate your businesses and supply chain strategies as you normally would. We will provide further updates as soon as they become available.
